I'm Alicia, currently a product and GTM advisor for early stage B2B SaaS startups.

My background spans sales, partnerships, and product management, meaning I can see where GTM strategy breaks down at the product level and vice versa. I've worked with startups backed by a16z, Y Combinator, NEA, Norwest, and Salesforce Ventures.

I'm located in the Bay Area, California (Pacific Time). Please reach out if you think I'd be helpful, whether it's career development, a startup problem, or something else.

Rarely Asked Questions

I can't say these are frequently asked, but here are some questions and answers that I think share more about me.

Why do salespeople and engineers distrust each other?

Salespeople think engineering doesn't listen. Engineers think sales feedback is anecdotal. They're both describing the same problem from opposite ends - the discovery salespeople do with customers rarely makes it to product in a form that's actually actionable. When I was in sales, I didn't know how to prove what I was seeing in the market was real. That's what eventually pushed me to cross over.

How do people describe working with you?

I've heard that I'm willing to "run through walls" and take on tough challenges. A previous manager has said my natural curiosity level is unusually high. Prior teammates have noted I have a steadying influence on them, as I keep calm under changing conditions.

Why product after sales?

I worked at several early stage startups where customer conversations revealed clear needs that products didn't yet meet. I wanted to be closer to solving the gaps I saw, which got me more involved in product and engineering, where I found building and shipping to be immensely satisfying.
